Godric Johnson also known as Game-hop (stylized G4M3-H0P) is an American artist / game developer / musician born & raised from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  The world’s FIRST proclaimed “Game-hop artist,” at the age of 5 he was heavily influenced by his father in art.  He often copied his father’s stick figure drawings and then went on to make his own artistic creations. As a child growing up he often drew his favorite comic book & video game characters numerous times and shared them with family & friends.
The youngest son of two Pentacostal ministers, seeing continuous development in his craft his parents taught him to keep God first and never stop believing in his dreams.

​His mother & father are his heroes & greatest inspiration; who instilled the value of love, honesty, & integrity growing up. In spring of 2006 he received his bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Game Design & Digital Art from the University of Advancing Technology.  In the summer of 2006 he developed his own brand / style of music he coined “Game-hop” and in spring of 2008 released his first mini mixtape bearing the same moniker.  A subgenre of Hip-hop & expansion sub class of Nerdcore music.  Game-hop is his own brand, style, & persona.  Possessing a background in both game design & digital art with a limitless passion for video games & positive music HE IS Game-hop.

​He’s performed at numerous conventions & conferences across the US including: The GDC, Gam3rcon, GAC, & DigiFEST South along with being featured on gaming press sites such as Gamasutra and local Baton Rouge press outlets such as: DIG magazine, The Business Insider, & The Arcade KLSU 91.1 radio.  He serves as the Producer / Creative Director of Jetstreame (independent game company), Founder/CEO of Gesports (esports team/production firm) & Executive Producer of G Records (indie record label).
